Students at Hugh Baird College’s L20 Restaurant are honing their hospitality skills by serving UEFA match officials ahead of Europa League games being played at both Goodison Park and Anfield.

Brought about thanks to links the College has with the Liverpool FA, the officials from UEFA have visited the luxurious L20 Restaurant on a number of occasions and are scheduled to do so for other Europa ties to be played in the City.

Head of Corporate and Capital Development at Hugh Baird College, Pat Farrell, who is also a key member of the Liverpool FA said:

“When I first heard that the officials from UEFA were on the lookout for a place to dine, I jumped at the opportunity to invite them to our L20 Restaurant.”

“The Restaurant and the hospitality provision at the College has been completely revitalised over the past two years and the L20 Hotel School has been born. This is in line with the growth of the Liverpool City Region’s visitor economy. The officials are used to eating at top restaurants and they were extremely complementary of both the food and the service at the L20 Restaurant.”

Rob Graham, General Manager at the L20 Hotel School said:

“We are very proud to have secured this business. It is just another example of the service we provide to guests”.
