On Saturday 28th February students and staff from Hugh Baird College’s L20 Hotel School will be spreading the Global Scouse Day love by cooking up and selling Liverpool’s finest culinary export at several pop-up stalls in the city centre.
Serving up at sites on Bold Street, Church Street and underneath the Radio City Tower, the group hope to help those less fortunate than them as £1 from each dish sold will go to The Whitechapel Centre homeless and housing charity.
Speaking in the run up to the event, Owain Roberts, Head of Marketing at Hugh Baird College and the L20 Hotel School said:
“We jumped at the chance to get involved with Global Scouse Day. The event is organised on a completely voluntary basis by a small team of scousers, and is getting bigger every year so we were more than willing to do our bit and help out. The students will be handing out the scouse and we even have music students supporting by playing scouse anthems at two of the sites.”
“I would also like to thank Wild Thang Merchandise for providing the t-shirts, one of which has ended up down under in Australia and VC Digital for providing their print services.”
